GENERAL INFORMATION

We will continue to add information to this page. Continue to check back for additional details.

Location: Imiloa Institute, Costa Rica

Airport to Fly Into: You will fly into Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San Jose, Costa Rica. You will want to fly in by 7am on December 7th, as we will board a private jet around 9 am on December 7th. If that requires you to fly in the night before, we will provide some options near the SJO airport to make it easy for you to get to the airport on December 7th. Make sure to book your flight back home after 1pm on December 12th.

Shuttle/ Ground Transportation Recommendations: We will have a private jet and transportation taking us from SJO to the Imiloa Institute. If you would prefer to take ground transportation from the SJO airport, you may do so at your own expense (the Imiloa Institute is about 3 1/2 hours away and costs approximately $285 each way by taxi (feel free to reach out to us at hello@beyondingretreat.com for more information). Rental cars are not able to be parked at the retreat property.

On-Property Shuttle Service: More info to follow

Retreat Property: All retreat sessions will take place on the Imiloa property. We will also provide all meals (a delicious, gourmet plant-based cuisine). Snacks, coffee and tea are available throughout the day.

Wellness Protocol: Please ensure you come to the retreat feeling well. We recommend taking a COVID test prior to your flight. We highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance to cover you in the unlikely event you can no longer attend. One company Imiloa recommends is Global Rescue.

Important Info from Retreat Center

  • Imiloa Institute is located in the Savegre mountains, just 3km from the small surf town Dominical and 30km from Quepos (medical facilities, airport, great dining if you’re coming before or after the event).
  • It is 800 feet (240m) above sea level, making it a bit cooler than the beach, as well as less bugs. The average temperature is 85°F (27-33°C) during the day and 65-75°F (17-24°C) at night.
  • Imiloa is a credit/debit card ONLY campus. We are 100% cashless except for (optional) tips should you choose to leave them.

  • There are plenty of yoga mats, blocks, cushions and blankets for your use.
  • The property has laundry services on site and all services must be paid in advance by credit or debit card. $25 per load.
  • Imiloa is a cigarette, drug, and alcohol-free campus.
